The Outdoors for All Foundation, formerly the SKIFORALL Foundation, is a
community based non-profit organization whose mission is to enrich the
quality of life for children and adults with disabilities through outdoor
recreation.
For nearly 30 years Outdoors for All has provided recreational services to
children and adults with physical, sensory, and developmental disabilities
throughout
Puget Sound and greater Northwest community. Today,
Outdoors for All is national leader and one of the largest nonprofit
organizations providing year round instruction in adaptive recreation
including cycling, hiking, river rafting, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing,
rock-climbing, camping, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross country and
downhill skiing.
Our programs transform
more than 2,000 children and adults with disabilities each year through the
training and support of over 600 volunteers.
Outdoors for All
programs are designed to promote fun, fitness, education, independence,
socializing, and a love of the outdoors. Our activities have a profound
ripple effect and often benefit volunteers, family members, and caregivers
just as much as participants with disability.
Over 85% of
participants and volunteers say they experience an increase in
their quality of life due to their participation in Outdoors for All
activities.
“As a human being, this is
one of the best things I do all year around; perhaps the best.”

“Thank you for your great
summer programs. Nick does not look forward to the school break because he
does not have a job or friends to hand out with due to his disability and
challenging social skills. If it were not for Outdoors for All he would
have a boring summer indeed. Instead he enjoys waterskiing, rock climbing,
and river rafting, all of which he would not be able to do without you.”

“Thank you so much for the
scholarship you gave me so that I could ski at Crystal. I’ve been visually
impaired for 4 years and this experience really boosted my morale. It also
gave me hope that I can accomplish other things as well. My family,
friends, and I are all so grateful for your support."
