Welcome to our store. Video Isle is a
locally owned, independent business established in
1986. We sincerely hope you find our broad selection
and personal service to be worthy of your continued
patronage.
We invite you to come down to our
stores or browse our website to find out more about
our services and offerings.

Feel free to contact our store in Fremont or on
Queen Anne Hill if you have any questions regarding
rental or sales information, questions on new
releases or anything movie related. We will do our
best to help you with your movie needs. If you are
in the Fremont or Queen Anne area then stop by and
browse our great selection of movies. We will even
give you a bag of popcorn while you browse.
Remember... Our goal is to be the best video
store you have ever visited.
The History of Video Isle
Video Isle's first store opened in Seattle on Queen
Anne Hill in 1986. We started out with less than a
thousand videos to offer as our selection. Our goal
back then was to provide a comfortable environment
for folks to come browse what we believed was a
carefully chosen selection of titles. We were one of
the first stores in Seattle to expand our movie
offerings to include foreign, documentary and
smaller independent films. Our goal was to become
known as the best neighborhood video store our
customers had ever visited and to be thought of as a
business with heart and personality. With the help
of many characters that played roles on the Video
Isle "stage", a second Video Isle store came to the
upper Fremont neighborhood in 1989.
The Video Isle Pledge
With the same spirit and energies that fueled the
successes of our beginnings all of us at Video Isle
pledge to you, our customers, to continue to work
hard to be the best video store you have ever
visited.
Craig Wilson
Owner of Video Isle
About the Owner of Video Isle
As owner of Video Isle, Craig Wilson believed in
being part of the community that was so generous in
its loyalty to his business. As an active member of
the Queen Anne Merchants Association, a Queen Anne
Helpline board member, a sponsor and supporter of
youth sports such as Little League and Soccer clubs,
and as a contributor to many auctions and fund
raisers for schools and churches, Video Isle and
Craig Wilson reaped the largest rewards of owning
your own business... that of actually being part of
the life and spirit of the community and not just
part of the landscape.

Bayview Retirement Community and
Bayview Retirement's Rehab & Health Center
A
Continuing Care Retirement Community
What does it mean to be a “continuing care
retirement community,” or CCRC? It means that by
offering residential living, assisted living and
skilled nursing care, Bayview can assure residents
that their needs can be met right here if their
physical conditions change. The United Methodist
Association helps ensure strict adherence to quality
standards through accreditation by EAGLE – the
Educational Assessment Guidelines Leading toward
Excellence. Bayview is also a member of the
American Association of Homes and Services for the
Aging (AAHSA) and the Washington Association of
Housing and Services for the Aging (WAHSA).
Bayview is home to over 210 residents who value
independence, friendship, healthy living and quality
care. The convenience, amenities and safety of a
retirement community combine with the freedom of
living in your own home. With a prime location on
Queen Anne Hill, residents can visit nearby Seattle
Center or downtown to shop, dine or attend cultural
events. Our goal is to help residents be
independent as long as possible, however, if
challenges arise, our caring staff are here to help.
Our History
Bayview Manor was established in 1961, on the former
site of the historic Kinnear Mansion in Seattle’s
Queen Anne neighborhood. Early Seattleite Charles
A. Kinnear bequeathed the property to the First
United Methodist Church for the care of older adults
and children. In 1995, the original 10-story Tower
Building was augmented with the opening of the new
Terrace Building, which includes the Wellness
Center, Health Center and Intergenerational
Childcare Center. Founded as an independent
not-for-profit organization, Bayview Manor continues
to operate in that capacity today and remains
affiliated with the United Methodist Church. We are
proud of the fact that our residents embrace many
faiths.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to understanding and providing for
the needs of our residents, children, and community
at large. Through our valued employees and committed
supporters, we offer superb services, distinctive
facilities, enriching programs, compassionate care,
and spiritual support to enhance their lives and
well-being.

I grew up in a big,
rambling old house in Iowa. Its columned veranda
porch; its rich mahogany staircase, pocket doors and
woodwork; its many nooks and crannies and “secret”
staircases instilled in me an early love of vintage
houses and architecture in general.
I received my BA in
Sociology and English from Hastings College in 1971.
Through various exchange classes, I was able to
travel to the British Isles, the Netherlands,
Russia, Czechoslavakia, Hungary, Austria, and
Mexico. I love to travel, especially the highways of
America and our truly unique, beautiful, and magic
places. Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Colorado, Utah,
the Canadian Rockies and New Orleans are a few that
automatically spring to mind. There are many places
I have yet to see...Greece, Turkey, Italy, Paris and
the French countryside, Egypt, Japan, Australia and
New Zealand intrigue me.
Recently I spent 12
days exploring the wonders of China.
After graduating from
Hastings, I came to Seattle for post-graduate
studies in linguistics and English literature at UW
with the hope of becoming a college professor.
Discovering years later that college professorship
was an overfilled profession, I went into real
estate at the suggestion of a friend. Thirty years
later, I’m still here!
I hold the
professional designation Certified Residential
Specialist (CRS), the highest in the industry. Less
than 3% of all REALTORS® and REALTOR®-ASSOCIATES
nation-wide have earned the right to be called a
CRS. When you work with a CRS you are working with
someone who is more connected, more knowledgeable,
and more experienced. A CRS brings special
qualifications to your needs:
-
A
higher level of education in real estate sales.
-
Professional affiliation with thousands of other
successful real estate professionals on the
local and national levels.
-
Up-to-the-minute industry information and local
market knowledge.
-
A
history of demonstrated sales performance
through the documentation of successfully
completed residential sales transactions.
In 2004, 2005, and
2006 I had the distinction of being recognized in
Seattle Magazine’s survey “Five Star Real Estate
Agents: Best In Customer Satisfaction”. As this list
represents less than 7 percent of actively licensed
agents in Washington state, it truly is an honor to
be included.
I believe in
community involvement. I have over the years been
involved with Historic Seattle and other
architectural and environmental preservation groups,
various local political campaigns and arts groups,
as well as contributing to and/or volunteering with
several local and national charities and non-profit
organizations. For almost a decade I wrote a
bi-monthly real estate column for the Capitol Hill
Times, a local paper servicing my neighborhood.
I like to work close
to home, but my expertise applies to all areas of
Seattle. I know it intimately. This is my city and I
love it, rain and all. I know you will love it, too.
I am fortunate in
that most of my clients have become life-long
friends. Recently I found homes for three young
people whose families had purchased their homes from
me some numbers of years before. I had watched them
grow up. Getting them into their first home was a
thrill. Even after thirty years, I’m still excited
to help someone find his or her first home (or their
dream home, or to build equity in a property that
will eventually get them to their dream home).
Since becoming
licensed in 1976, my practice has expanded to
include investment and commercial properties as well
as residential. About 30% of my business involves
commercial and investment properties; about 95%
comes from referrals from satisfied customers. I am
happy to provide references upon request.
Sometimes when I’m
asked what I do for a living, I reply that I have
the best of all worlds: I’m a detective, a
counselor, a consultant, a teacher, a remodeler, a
color consultant, a financial advisor, an interior
designer, an architect, an appraiser, a matchmaker,
a psychologist, a landscaper, a confidante/
companion, a chauffeur, a babysitter, a marketing
wizard, an arbitrator, a facilitator, a
catalyst...and I SELL HOUSES!

“Personal Service to Achieve Your Goals”

Before entering into real estate, I spent 12 years in
technical sales as a manufacturer’s representative of
electronic assembly equipment. I worked with corporate
accounts like Intel, Micron and Hewlett-Packard
negotiating multi-million dollars deals for their
electronic manufacturing lines. These accounts allowed
me to travel to Europe, Japan and all over the USA and
made me realize what a wonderful and dynamic place that
we live in here.

I
carried these negotiating and business skills over into
my real estate career. I pride myself on working
closely with my clients to listen to their needs and
make their real estate transactions a fun, stress-free
and rewarding process. I hold the industry recognized
Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR®)
designation and work hard to negotiate the best possible
deal for my clients.

MEET
BILL HOFFER
I am a native Texan
graduating from Texas
A&M University in 1975. For thirteen
years after college I worked in sales
for a major pharmaceutical company.
In 1989 I had the
opportunity to follow my passion and
began working in the clothing industry
for a national company. My work for this
company brought me to Seattle in 1994.
My responsibilities included selling
clothing to executives at their offices.
I always envisioned an
expanded direction in which I could
combine my own love of classic,
functional and attractive clothing to
bring to my clients in both their
professional and personal lives. That
vision became a reality in 2002 when I
started my own business; Wardrobe
Design.
Now, with seventeen years
of experience in the clothing industry,
I have a unique relationship with my
clients. They greatly appreciate the
personal service I am able to bring to
them. |
