Greater Chamber of Queen Anne - Mission Statement

The Queen Anne Chamber of Commerce is a group of business people working together to make the Queen Anne area a safer, better and more prosperous community through cooperation, communication and representation.

Membership in the Greater Queen Anne Chamber of Commerce has a different value for everyone.

Networking is the number one reason people join a chamber. (But not the number one reason people renew; see below.) Areas to network with other business owners are numerous.   Meetings are lunches from 11:30 to 1 monthly on the third Thursday with a few lunches focusing only networking.   There is also after-hour mixers, a morning Executive Speakers Series and other events throughout the year.

Business Promotion.   Your business is listed on the chamber website (www.QAchamber.org), you get a free listing in the printed business directory published every September, and new members are listed in the Counterbalance which is mailed monthly to members and a few hundred non-members. Advertising is available on all media including our front windows.  Our store front office gets many inquiries and we only refer member businesses.

Credibility.   Being a member of a chamber is a way of showing your good standing in the community.   Join a membership which includes the Gates Foundation, Amgen, Seattle Center, the Port of Seattle, Vulcan, City of Seattle, and a few hundred other large and small businesses.

Benefits.   Membership includes a number of available personal and business benefits from AAOAmerica - from health insurance, half price hotels to half off DHL.  There is no extra charge to offer your employees all the offered benefits which gives you a tool to get and retain staff.

Advocacy.   The chamber has the connections and knowledge of where to go when you have issues.  From knowing about small business loans and available grant money, to knowing the exact person to contact in the myriad of government structure, the chamber provides you with invaluable support.  Currently the top issues called in daily are about new development and transportation (from road repair to the viaduct).  The chamber is your support team.

Community Involvement.   Be part of the chamber’s work with the Queen Anne Revitalization Project, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, Queen Anne Community Council, Seattle Center on public safety issues, Queen Anne Crime Prevention and Business Watch, Queen Anne at the Neighborhood Business Council, Queen Anne Clean Up Day, Uptown Stroll, and the Queen Anne Help Line, Fun Run & children’s parade (and more).

Cohesiveness.   The number one reason a business renews?  It’s the realization a unified business community is imperative to keeping their own business successful.   “United we stand, divided we fall.”  Consider the substantial changes taking place from Denny to Nickerson -  from Westlake to Elliott and Interbay -  in upper and lower Queen Anne.  We communicate as one voice working together with the city, developers, and each other.

We look forward to having you as a valued member of the Greater Queen Anne Chamber of Commerce.
